Winter time is snow time. As I live in Cologne and it hardly never really snows around here I love to escape to close winter destinations such as Austria in the winter months. So last week we packed our bags and went on a trip to Kitzbühel for some cozy days 🙂
We flew straight to Salzburg from where it only takes 1 hour by rental car to reach Kitzbühel.

The design flat is owned by some architects and its not only the most instagrammable flat I have ever stayed in looking like a white glass cube but probably also the most comfortable one 🙂
The flat has a big living room with open kitchen and seating area and 2 bedrooms and can accompany 4 people which makes it very affordable. The bathroom and entire interior is all white stylish with grey and black elements. There is a little outside terrace and private parking right in front of your door. You reach all ski gondolas within 10 minutes driving.
Ive stayed in several flats by FeWo-direkt homeaway in the past, like this summer in South of France which you can read about here and last year in London in a beautiful house which you can find here, which I all loved because it feels more private and home compared to a hotel. Especially during the christmas and new years season it’s great to plan a winter holiday with family or friends staying all together in a big flat or house, cook together and celebrate.
We got some Ski passes from Kitzbühel city and explored the mountains which already had enough snow to ski and snowboard even though its just beginning of the season. We went up the Hahnenkamm and Fleckalmbahn and enjoyed the views from Hochkitzbühel bar and restaurant.
Kitzbühels old city is super small but beautiful to stroll through in the evening with all the decoration lights and don’t forget to visit Rosies Sonnenbergstuben for the best Kaiserschmarren in town!
