Island hopping Greece First Stop: Mykonos

Mykonos oh Mykonos! Some of you might have noticed my love for the greek islands already. Returning to Mykonos some weeks ago brought back so many of my memories of my first time there 1,5 years ago when I was on the island for the first time shortly before I started my blog.

This time, we did a 2 week island hopping trip for Discover Greece and I was super happy to start the journey in Mykonos. We flew from Düsseldorf to Mykonos via Athens with Aegean Airlines.

Whenever people ask me where to spend their vacation with friends my answer is always Mykonos. The island is one of the busiest in the cyclades and even though it can get crowded in the summer months it still feels more familiar than some other big party islands in Europe. There are a ton of good restaurants and bars, a good nightlife and the island attracts a quite international crowd.

We stayed at my beloved San Giorgio again, which is probably the most stylish and chilled place to stay at on the island that I woud return to over and over again. You find my review and video about this place here.

Besides cruising around the island, exploring some beaches and wandering the white blue streets with cute boutiques we found our new favorite spot in Mykonos called Scorpios.

Scorpios is a beach club with restaurant in bohemian style and the perfect place to relax during during the day while it attracts the party crowd at night. Order a Mojito and enjoy the ocean breeze on your beachbed by the sea.

Another new spot found and a recommendation for all surf and turf lovers is Inyama restaurant in Mykonos town. Fish and meat variations in all forms are presented in modern cozy atmosphere.

A final walk by the windmills and it was time already to pack our bags for the second greek island awaiting us.
