What is better than a quick getaway to sunny south of France ?
Last week my boyfriend grabbed me, packed our bags and we were on our way to the airport. One of the nice things about the Cote d’Azur is that its just a quick flight of 1,5 hours to Nice 🙂
We were lucky to have found a very cute apartment in St. Tropez through fewo-direkt which you can find here if you are also planning a trip there soon 🙂
The flat is actually for up to 4 people, has a big living room with open kitchen one bedroom and a bathroom, all beautifully cozy designed with boho decorations. Besides the size of the flat which was much bigger than expected the best part of the apartment was its location- directly at the harbor around place de lice in Saint Tropez with lots of shops and restaurants around.
I have been on vacation in Saint Tropez several times in the past and its always a bit of a hassle there to find accommodation right in the center as a bit further away villages can require long queues of driving due to there being only one main street leading into the city which can get quite busy in summer.
So we were very happy to have found such a cute home away from home directly in the center through fewo direkt. The owner was already awaiting us on arrival with the keys and the entire handing keys arrival procedure went really quickly.
We rented a motorbike and were off to.. you know me.. the beach of course 🙂
The days at Cote d’Azur are spend the best in one of the endless beach clubs around Ramatuelle, Bagatelle being one of my favorite ones turning into a party after lunch every afternoon at around 4pm.
But basically you can test a different one every day 🙂
Another new one I discovered this time is Indie beach which reminded me a lot of Tulum actually. Indie beach is located hidden at the northern strip of the beach and has a very secluded calm hippie vibe with lots of hanging chairs and pillows and a restaurant that will inspire all vegan and healthy food lovers.
If you pay attention to sand quality or travel with kids you might want to try Tahiti beach which is located on the strip with the nicest sand and not so many stones. Also Tahiti beach is not as pricey as the other beach clubs further down that can easily charge up to 150 euro for 2 beach beds.
Spending the days along the beach, having cozy lunch at legendary club 55 and working on your tan keeps you perfectly relaxed to jump back into the little colorful streets of Saint Tropez after sunset to explore all its shops and restaurants.
So where to eat ?
L`opera: This place located directly at the port is very Saint Tropez like in all its ways and very fun. Fancy dinner with entertainment show and club vibes after dinner. $$$
Brasserie des Arts: located at place des Lices Brasserie has great cocktails and a la carte menu and is great for a fancy friends dinner before going out on weekends $$$
BanH-Hoi: delicious Vietnamese restaurant with beautiful romantic outside tables $$
Pizza Bruno: Casual small Italian restaurant in third tradition where already Brigitte Bardot enjoyed her pizza and pasta. $$
Where to shop ?
Lulu Saint Tropez: The place where I could buy everything 🙂 beautiful kaftans, playful beach dresses and pom pom bags, you get it J
And where to party ?
Caves du Roy at Byblos: most legendary club open Fridays& Saturdays and every day in july and august $$$
Vip room: when Caves is closed 🙂 $$
We had a wonderful week in South of France thanks to Fewo-direkt for making us feel like home away from home 🙂
