Turkey @ Cappadocia

Just a one hour flight from Istanbul in central Turkey there is the magical fairytale landscape of Cappadocia. The Unesco World Heritage site is famous for its stone caves and underground cities built in the 7th century in which people lived in up to 25 years ago.
Every morning more then 100 hot air balloons fly over this unreal spot on earth. Your balloon shuttle picks you up from your hotel early at 5 in the morning but these breathtaking views are definitely worth it. Many of the hotels are original redesigned caves which lets you experience an authentic feeling when sleeping in one of the stone rooms. Cappadocia is definitely a spot to put on your bucket list of places you need to see before you die.
