Returning to London, the city that I called home during my studies always brings back memories of all the wonderful people and places that I got to know during this time.
Whatever you desire this multicultural vibrant city has it all. The fast paced London lifestyle soaks you up so quickly that a weekend there feels like seconds. There are tons of cool restaurants, shopping spots and clubs but here are some of my alltime favorite ideas of unique places to put on your list for your next London trip.
Where to eat:
Breakfast club: London´s legendary number one place for breakfast in the city offers not only English and traditional breakfast but also casual laid back atmosphere and is popular among locals. Make sure you arrive to this hyped place early on weekends as queues outside can take up to one hour.
Sketch: this lunch and evening restaurant, bar and sunday chillout comes in an arty Alice in wonderland interior design that allows you to step into a world of dreams. For everyone seeking comfort food in a very unique ambience.
Inamo: Japanese interactive restaurant forecasting the future of service. Tables are animated and you order your oriental fusion food, the bill or a taxi via touchscreen. Have a look what the desserts look like or jump live on screen into the kitchen to see how your food is prepared. A fun experience with lovely Japanese cuisine.
What else to see:
Notting Hill: the beautiful residential Notting Hill area with its famous colored houses and the saturday Portobello Road market for vintage clothing and accessories bargains is a must do when in London.
Camden Town: just a few metro stops north from busy Oxford Circus you will find the famous everyday open air markets of Camden Town with its very own vibe offering everything from clothing to furniture , jewellery and antiques.
