Wellness weekend in South Tyrol @Stroblhof Active Family & Spa Resort

I was happy to spend the last weekend with my friend Daisy in South Tyrol for a wellness weekend at Stroblhof Active Family & Spa resort.
The hotel is located in Passeier close to well known Meran which belongs to Italy and is actually very close to the boarder of Austria. We flew from Frankfurt to Innsbruck and from there it’s a 1,5 hour drive through the mountains before reaching Stroblhof Active Family and Spa resort. Alternatively it’s a 2,5 hours drive from Munich.

We had one of the nicest rooms I ever had in a wellness hotel with our own private glasswalled sauna in our room and a Jacuzzi on the terrace overlooking the main pool and breathtaking mountain views.
The hotel has 350 rooms that are stretched out over a big property with 5 heated indoor and outdoor pools, gym, big sauna and lounge areas and outdoor tanning beds.
My fav pool was their adults only pool on their rooftop terrace which was my favorite place also to soak up the sun and has spectacular 360 degree mountain views. The pool beds and palm trees give the entire location an elegant holiday ambiance.
I am amazed how beautiful south tyrol is also in the summer. I had been in the mountains only in winter before and I think the area has something very beautiful, calm and soothing in the summer that you appreciate more and more with each year lived in stressful cities.

The concept of Stroblhof Active Family and Spa Resort is that you always have breakfast buffet, afternoon lunch snacks in buffet style and dinner menu service included and when I say the word food here it doesn’t do it justice because the food at this place –especially at their dinner menues was very fine cuisine from caviar toppings to traditional specialities with just excellent taste and service. Evening dinners vary between 5 and 7 course menues with the choice to choose beforehand between several options.
They prepared us dinner in their wine cellar one evening which was so romantic and perfect also if you celebrate special occasions like birthdays.
The entire hotel is designed for wellness which means you run around all day long in your robe from one sauna to the next and back to the pool which felt like a super relaxing Sunday – just the 3 day version of it ☺
Wellness means of course means of course a spa treatment shouldn’t be missed so I treated myself with a Stroblhof signature massage made with warm oil in the morning of the second day which couldn’t have been more relaxing.
If you like outdoor activities the area has lots to offer as well from hiking to biking over golfing.

It was such a great relaxing weekend at Stroblhof Active Family & Spa Resort that like every good time passed so fast. But I guess that’s only one reason more to return soon ☺

I would recommend Stroblhof Active Family and Spa Resort for not only families at all but couples and also groups of friends who are looking for a great wellness weekend in South Tyrol with great nature views full of relaxation ☺

Have you guys ever done a wellness weekend and how did you like it ?
